Broadcasting students from Lee's Summit High School and Lee's Summit West High School captured awards in the four-state Regional Broadcast Conference, held at Drury University.

Lee's Summit High School Tiger Broadcast students winning awards were Karlie Swan and Allison Derks, first place in spot feature, and Karlie Swan and Morgan Raukar, honorable mention in feature story-long form. The Tiger Broadcast staff with Karlie Swan as news director took second in Broadcast Show Challenge.

Lee's Summit West High School Titan Television students winning awards were Ethan Baxter, Leanna Perry, Greg Janssen and Adam Hall, first place in commercial;  Kyle East, first place in anchoring; Kyle East and Alyssa Steen, honorable mention in news story; and Alie Davila, honorable mention in live reporting. The Titan TV staff with Aaron Van Pelt as executive producer won first place in Broadcast Show Challenge.
